For anyone who hasn't heard the term before, Augustween is exactly what it sounds like—Halloween in August. And after working in the home decor world for the past few years, I've completely embraced it.
Just like Christmas in July, part of it is practical. I don't love shopping with huge crowds in September and October, and I definitely don't love finding out the piece I've been eyeing has already sold out.
But the biggest reason? The really good Halloween decor rarely sticks around.
