You Searched What? The Top 3 Trends Taking Over This Month

Sometimes I love digging into the behind-the-scenes data at Decor Steals almost as much as I love styling a room. This month, I took a peek at the top search terms on our website to see what everyone has been shopping for lately... and honestly, the results surprised me a little (especially the #1 search term).

So today, we’re counting down the top 3 most-searched keywords from this past month, sharing a few of our favorite affordable home decor finds related to each one, and talking about why we think these styles continue to trend. We’ll start with #3 and work our way to the top spot.

Whether you love cottagecore decor, farmhouse style, or simply finding unique home decor with honest pricing, these are the pieces currently stealing everyone’s attention.

#3 Furniture

Coming in at #3 is furniture... and honestly, I get it. Furniture pieces can completely change the feeling of a space while also adding function and personality. Our furniture collection includes everything from cabinets and benches to decorative stools and accent pieces that make a home feel layered and lived-in.

Gustavian White Wooden Storage Cabinet

This cabinet instantly gives me those cozy cottage-inspired vibes. The soft white finish and vintage-inspired look feel welcoming without trying too hard. I also love that it could be styled in so many ways — as a coffee station, extra kitchen storage, an entryway catch-all, or even a charming bathroom cabinet.

Natural Wood Ottoman Bench with Floral Upholstered Top

The beaded detailing along the edges completely won me over on this piece. It feels elegant while still fitting into a relaxed farmhouse or cottagecore home decor style. If I had the perfect spot for it in my own home, I honestly wouldn’t hesitate to grab it.

Vintage Inspired Wooden Bench Potting Riser

This bench has so much character. The distressed finish makes it feel like it already has a story to tell, which is something I always gravitate toward in home decor. It would look beautiful styled on a porch, in a mudroom, or even layered on a kitchen counter with plants and candles.

Styling Tip:

When decorating with furniture, try mixing functional pieces with decorative accents like mirrors, greenery, trays, and soft lighting. It helps create that collected-over-time feeling that makes a home feel warm and personal.

#2 Mirrors

If you’ve been around Decor Steals for a while, this probably won’t surprise you. Mirror continues to be one of our most searched terms year after year, and I think we can partially thank the viral Gold Ornate Primrose Mirror for that. Fun Fact: It’s still our best-selling item ever!

Mirrors make spaces feel larger, brighter, and more layered, while also acting as decor themselves.

Copper Arched Mantle Mirror with Built-In Shelf

I absolutely love the added shelf detail on this one. It’s beautiful styled with small decor accents, candles, or greenery, but it could also work practically in a bathroom or vanity area for makeup and jewelry. I have this piece and use it in our bedroom.

Octagon Wood Frame Mirror

I’m a sucker for soft natural wood tones, so this mirror immediately caught my attention. The octagon shape feels unique without being overwhelming, and I love that it can either sit on a shelf or hang on a wall.

Ornate Bow Antique Gold Mirrored Tray, Set of 2

What’s better than decor that multitasks? These trays double as unique wall mirrors, which makes them such a fun styling piece. The bow detail gives them a vintage-inspired charm that works beautifully with cottagecore and farmhouse decor styles.

Styling Tip:

Layer mirrors opposite windows or lamps to bounce light around the room. It instantly makes spaces feel brighter, softer, and more inviting.

#1 Christmas

Okay… this one surprised me.

The #1 searched term this month was Christmas... and not by a little. It had more than double the searches of the next keyword! Apparently, many of you are already thinking ahead, and honestly? We hear you.

That means one thing: Christmas in July is coming!!!

If you’re new around here, Christmas in July is one of our favorite annual events where we spend a week (sometimes longer) sharing amazing Christmas steals, festive decor, and cozy holiday styling inspiration.

And while we can’t give away too much yet, here are a few upcoming pieces we’re especially excited about:

  • Train advent calendars
  • Bell wall hangings
  • Unique card holders

Trust me when I say… if you love vintage-inspired Christmas decor, cozy holiday styling, and unique affordable home decor, you’re going to want to keep an eye out this year.

Styling Tip:

One of the easiest ways to make holiday decorating feel elevated is by mixing nostalgic pieces with natural textures like wood, greenery, aged metals, and soft warm lighting.

What Do These Search Trends Tell Us About Home Decor Right Now?

What I love most about these top search terms is that they all point back to one thing: creating a home that feels personal, cozy, and collected. Whether it’s a statement furniture piece, a beautiful mirror, or early Christmas decorating inspiration, people are searching for decor that creates feeling and character, not just fills a space.

And of course, we always aim to bring you those unique finds with honest pricing and our Steal Seal of Approval for quality and uniqueness.
