Our Creative Team has had the privilege of working with Krystle for nearly three years, and during that time she's become so much more than one of our trusted creators—she's become a genuine friend. She's the kind of person who sends a message just to check in, asks how everyone's weekend was, and always brings kindness into every interaction.

Our team always jokes that someday we're going to take a road trip to visit all of our creators in person, and without question, Krystle's coastal cottage is near the top of that list. Her home is every bit as warm and inviting as she is.

Her thoughtful decorating style has caught the attention of some incredible brands, but what impresses us most isn't the beautiful spaces she creates... it's the beautiful person behind them. We're so excited to introduce you to Krystle and share a little more about the heart behind her home.

Meet Krystle

What’s your story? How did you become a home decor influencer?

My journey started 19 years ago when my husband was serving in the Marine Corps and we were raising two little ones in base housing. We didn’t have a big budget, but I loved creating a beautiful home with what we had. I spent countless hours thrifting, DIYing, and finding creative ways to make our spaces feel warm and welcoming.

I began sharing those projects and decorating ideas online, never imagining it would grow into the community it has today. What started as a passion for making a house feel like home has evolved into a career where I get to inspire others through decorating, gardening, seasonal living, recipes, and everyday moments in our coastal cottage home.

Along the way, I’ve had the honor of being selected as the 2025 Cottages & Bungalows Brand Ambassador and have been featured in multiple magazines, sharing our home and the stories behind it. Those opportunities have been incredibly meaningful because they allow me to connect with others who believe that creating a beautiful home isn’t about perfection, it’s about creating a space that reflects the people who live there.

How did you first discover Decor Steals?

I discovered Decor Steals years ago while searching for unique home decor pieces that felt special, curated, and affordable. I was immediately drawn to the vintage-inspired style and the excitement of finding something unexpected. Over the years, it’s become one of my favorite places to discover pieces that add charm, character, and personality to a home.

Do you remember your first “steal”? What was it?

I honestly can’t remember my very first steal, but I do remember the feeling. It was one of those pieces that made me think, “I can’t believe I found this.” That’s what I’ve always loved about Decor Steals. The pieces feel unique and special, like something you might stumble upon at a favorite antique shop or flea market. It’s less about one specific item and more about the joy of finding something that instantly feels like it belongs in your home.

How would you describe your home style in 3 words?

Collected, cottage, welcoming.

How do you incorporate Decor Steals pieces into your home?

I love mixing Decor Steals finds with antiques, thrifted treasures, and family heirlooms. The pieces blend seamlessly into my home and help create that layered, lived in look I love. Whether it’s seasonal decor, a statement piece, or a simple accent, they often become the finishing touch that brings a space together.

Are there certain types of steals you gravitate toward most? Why?

I naturally gravitate toward vintage inspired decor, seasonal pieces, and items with lots of charm and character. I love decor that feels collected over time rather than purchased all at once. Those are the pieces that help make a home feel warm, personal, and full of stories.
