We couldn't resist a toy soldier with a teddy bear face.
Nutcrackers are a holiday classic, but this year we wanted something a little softer. Enter these two: a drummer bear in a green coat with gold epaulets and a striped drum, and his partner in pink, holding a berry-trimmed wreath. Both wear tall black shako hats with gold cord, and both stand a full 12" tall, so they hold their own on a mantel, bookshelf, or entry table.
They're cast in resin with crisp painted detail, from the belt buckles down to the boots. Similar two-piece resin figurine sets run about $84 elsewhere, and we brought this pair home for $49.99 for both. Not bad for a whole holiday regiment!
