Every tabletop village needs a lodge at the top of the hill, and this one has the details to earn the spot. A sisal roof gives it that soft, snow-capped texture real alpine buildings get, paired with a solid wood body finished in rich brown and evergreen green. Flip the switch and the windows glow warm, like the whole lodge is mid après-ski.
We have seen comparable lighted lodge pieces priced well into boutique territory, sisal roof and all. Underneath, sturdy construction keeps this one from feeling flimsy, the way some village pieces can. It is a neat 6 inches wide by 8 inches tall, light enough to tuck anywhere in your display, and it rings up at just $34.99.
