Dummy boards have been a decorator's trick for literally centuries — flat, freestanding figures that bring real personality to a wall without the bulk of an actual sculpture. We tracked down a Christmas version in solid metal, cut into a bold "Merry Christmas" silhouette and finished in classic red, green, and white.
At nearly three feet long, this isn't a stocking-stuffer accent. It's the piece that anchors an entire holiday wall — above a mantel, a console, or a stairway landing — and the metal build means it holds its shape and color through storage and re-display, year after year.
Specialty shops and boutique sign makers charge serious money for this kind of folk-art charm. At $74.99, you get the look without the antique-shop price tag — hang it up and let it do the talking.
