There’s something about carrots that instantly makes a table feel fresh, cheerful, and perfectly spring-ready. Whether you’re hosting Easter brunch, a garden party, or just want a simple seasonal touch, this DIY carrot centerpiece is one of those projects that looks high-end, but takes just minutes to create.
It’s natural, a little unexpected, and completely customizable depending on whether you use real or faux flowers.

What Will I Need?
-
One medium glass cylinder
-
One large glass cylinder
-
Full carrots (with or without stems)
-
Water
-
Flowers (faux or real)
How Do You Make It?
1. Create the Base
Start by placing the medium glass cylinder inside the larger cylinder. This creates a space between the two layers where the magic happens. I had approximately 1” of space between the two cylinders.

2. Add the Carrots
Carefully place your carrots in the space between the two cylinders. Stand them upright for a clean, structured look, or angle them slightly for something more organic.
Tip: Carrots with stems add a little extra charm and texture.

3. Secure the Inner Vase
If you’re using faux flowers, add a small weight (like stones or marbles) to the medium cylinder so it stays in place.
4. Add Water (If Using Real Flowers)
If you’re using real flowers, fill the medium cylinder with water for your blooms.
Then, fill the space between the two cylinders with water as well. This helps magnify the color of the carrots and gives the whole centerpiece that fresh, luminous look.
Important Tip: If there’s no weight inside the medium cylinder, it will likely float upward once you add water between the layers. Always anchor it first!

How Can I Style It?
-
Pair with white dishes and linen napkins for a soft, farmhouse look
-
Add wood accents for a warm, natural tablescape
-
Use tulips, ranunculus, or baby’s breath for a classic spring feel
-
Keep it minimal for everyday, or dress it up with candles for a holiday table

Why Does It Work?
This centerpiece is all about layering simple elements, just like good interior design. The glass adds structure, the carrots bring color and texture, and the flowers soften everything beautifully.
It’s one of those projects that feels thoughtful and elevated… but secretly couldn’t be easier.
