If you’re already thinking about pumpkins, cozy Thanksgiving tables, twinkling Christmas trees, and all the decorating that comes with the holiday season, you’re in the right place.
Christmas in July and Augustween have been big hits so far this year... with plenty of sellouts along the way! And here’s a little behind-the-scenes detail you may not know: our buying and creative teams actually design many of our bestselling Decor Steals pieces. We dream them up, share the designs with the factories we work with, and get to watch those ideas come to life.
Many of those new creations (along with some longtime fan favorites) made an appearance during our Christmas in July and Augustween events. So, we thought, why not gather some of our favorites in one place?

How Can You Make Halloween Decor Feel More Elevated?
Halloween decorating can go in so many directions. You can make it cute and playful for the kids, lean into vintage Halloween decor, embrace all things spooky, or create a more elevated look that blends right into your everyday home decor.
This year, we've been especially drawn to black, warm wood tones, aged metals, amber glass, pumpkins, bats, skeletons, and vintage-inspired Halloween decorations. Instead of completely transforming a room, try layering a few Halloween pieces into what you already have.
A skeleton sitting in an accent chair, a group of pumpkins on a console table, or a few bats climbing the wall above an antique cabinet can make a big impact without making your home feel overly themed.
Halloween styling tip: Start with your everyday decor and swap just a few pieces. Trade florals for branches, add black taper candles, tuck in pumpkins, and layer in one statement Halloween decoration. It keeps the space feeling collected rather than cluttered.
And if you see an Augustween favorite you love, don't wait too long. This year's sellouts reminded us just how quickly seasonal favorites can disappear!
Here are a few of my favorite Halloween porch pieces we've had so far this year!

How Can You Create a Warm and Welcoming Thanksgiving Home?
Thanksgiving decor doesn't always get as much attention as Halloween and Christmas, but it might be one of our favorite seasons to decorate for.
Think warm wood tones, vintage brass, woven textures, candlelight, pumpkins, dried florals, rustic serving pieces, and cozy farmhouse Thanksgiving decor. It's less about filling every corner with turkey-themed decorations and more about creating a home that feels welcoming when everyone walks through the door.
The dining table is an obvious place to start, but don't forget your kitchen island, entryway, mantel, and buffet. A beautiful tray filled with candles and seasonal stems or a simple bowl overflowing with mini pumpkins can be all you need.
And here's one of our favorite tricks: look for affordable fall decor that doesn't scream Thanksgiving. Wood risers, candle holders, baskets, trays, and neutral textiles can transition from early fall right through Thanksgiving—and many can stay out well into winter.
Thanksgiving styling tip: Mix old and new. A new candle holder looks instantly more collected next to vintage dishes, inherited linens, or a thrifted wood bowl.

What Christmas Decor Will Make Your Home Feel Extra Magical?
Christmas is where we really have fun.
Our Christmas in July event gave us an early peek at what everyone is loving this year, and if the sellouts were any indication, you're just as excited about holiday decorating as we are.
From Christmas bells and bows to gingerbread decor, nutcrackers, tabletop trees, Santa figures, angels, and vintage-inspired Christmas decorations, there are so many ways to create a home that feels magical without making every room look exactly the same.
One of our favorite approaches is choosing a loose theme for each space. Maybe the kitchen gets all the cozy gingerbread details, the living room stays classic with bells, greenery, and warm metallics, and the entryway gets a little more whimsical with an oversized Santa or nutcracker.
You don't have to choose just one Christmas decorating style for your entire home.
Christmas styling tip: Invest in a few larger statement pieces, then fill in with affordable Christmas decor you can change from year to year. Bells, tabletop trees, candle holders, garland, ornaments, and ribbon can completely change the look of pieces you already own.
Here are a few of my favorite pieces from Christmas in July!
- 26 Inch Three Tier Gingerbread Village Serving Stand | Iron Food Safe Trays
-
30 Inch Tall Outdoor Metal Bell Snowman
-
X-Large Wild Pine Lit Christmas Tree with Removable Pot
-
Double Sided Winter Holiday Wall Art | Switch-a-Print Series
Why Is Shopping for Holiday Decor Early Worth It?
If Christmas in July and Augustween taught us anything, it's that holiday decorating season starts long before the actual holiday.
Shopping early gives you time to figure out what you already own, decide what you actually need, and slowly add pieces you love rather than panic-buying whatever is left right before the holiday.
It's also especially helpful with unique seasonal decor. Some of our Decor Steals pieces are designed by our own team, and quantities can be limited. Once they're gone, we can't always promise they'll be back.
If something you love has already sold out, join the waitlist. It helps us see which pieces our Stealers want to come back, and you'll be among the first to know if a favorite returns.
How Can You Make Holiday Decorating More Affordable?
Beautiful holiday decorating doesn't require starting over every season.
Our favorite approach is to build a collection slowly. Look for versatile pieces that work for multiple holidays, mix affordable home decor with things you already own, and spend a little more on those special pieces you know you'll pull out year after year.
A wood bowl might hold pumpkins in October, pinecones and candles in November, and ornaments in December. A set of brass candle holders can move from a Thanksgiving tablescape to a Christmas mantel. A cloche can display mini pumpkins one month and a tiny Christmas village the next.
The more ways you can imagine styling something, the harder that piece can work in your home, and the more collected your seasonal decor will feel over time.
Where Can You Find Even More Holiday Decorating Inspiration?
We're just getting started!
We'll continue adding seasonal decorating ideas, DIYs, styling inspiration, and affordable home decor finds to the Decor Steals Journal throughout Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
And, of course, don't forget to check the Decor Steals Daily Deals. You never know what will pop up next, and as Christmas in July and Augustween have already shown us, the really good ones don't always stick around for long.
So grab your pumpkins, pull out the garland, light a candle, and have fun with it. Your home doesn't need to look like anyone else's for the holidays. Fill it with pieces you love, traditions that mean something to you, and plenty of reasons to gather together.
