We thought it would be fun to take you behind the scenes and show you how this unique Christmas tree stand went from an idea to a finished piece we're so excited to share.
It All Started With an Idea
We love Christmas decorations that feel a little different. The kind of pieces that make you stop, take a closer look, and wonder where someone found them.
When we started dreaming up this Christmas tree stand, we wanted something inspired by nature. Instead of a traditional tree stand, we envisioned a design that would give a Christmas tree the appearance of growing right out of its roots.
Something with character, natural texture, and a timeless look that could fit beautifully into a vintage-inspired or cottage-style Christmas home.
But having the idea was just the beginning!
From Concept to First Sample
Once we had our vision, it was time to see how it would translate into an actual product.
Working through the initial concept, we developed our first sample. This is always an exciting part of the process because it's the first time we get to see an idea become something tangible.
And while the first sample was a great starting point, we knew there were a few things we wanted to improve.
The overall concept was there, but we wanted the roots to feel more realistic and the entire piece to have a more natural appearance.
So, back to the drawing board we went!
Getting the Details Just Right
One of the biggest changes we made was to the roots.
We wanted them to look like something you'd actually find in nature, with more texture, definition, and organic character.
That meant refining the shapes and adding details to make the roots appear more lifelike.
It's amazing how much difference those little adjustments can make!
What started as a fairly simple design began to take on the character and realistic appearance we had envisioned from the beginning.
And we weren't quite finished yet.
The Finishing Touches
With the root details in place, it was time to focus on the final refinements.
We adjusted the coloring to give the stand a more vintage, worn finish. We also worked on eliminating visible gaps so the design would feel more seamless and complete.
These might sound like small changes, but they're exactly the kinds of details we pay attention to during product development.
We wanted the finished stand to look beautiful from every angle, whether it was displayed in a cozy living room, tucked into a holiday corner, or surrounded by other vintage-inspired Christmas decorations.
After a few rounds of changes, we finally had the look we were going for!
From an Idea to the Finished Piece
