3 Creative Ways to Style Bells This Holiday Season

3 Creative Ways to Style Bells This Holiday Season

Bells aren’t just for jingling, they’re a versatile and charming way to add a festive touch to your holiday décor! I love finding ways to incorporate them into everyday decorations, and this year I’ve tried three fun styles: a wreath, a banister, and a tabletop centerpiece. Each idea is simple, stylish, and perfect for spreading holiday cheer throughout your home.

In this blog, I’ll cover:

  1. How to add bells to a wreath for your door or wall.
  2. Decorating your staircase banister with bells and greenery.
  3. Creating a festive holiday centerpiece with bells as a highlight.
  4. Several creative tips along the way.

Wreath with Bells

1. Wreath

A wreath adorned with bells is a timeless way to welcome guests this season.

Supplies:

  • Grapevine wreath
  • Berries
  • Ribbon
  • Bells (can be added to a pre-made wreath with ribbon)
  • Optional: greenery or a pre-made wreath

Directions:

  1. Arrange berries around your grapevine wreath.
  2. Tie bells to ribbon and attach them to the wreath.
  3. Add a decorative bow for a finishing touch.

Tips:

  • Layer different sizes of bells for extra visual interest.
  • Choose a ribbon color that complements your existing décor.

Banister with Bells

2. Banister Decor with Bells

Transform your staircase into a festive focal point using bells and greenery.

Supplies:

  • 4 bendable Norfolk pine branches
  • Ribbon
  • Bells

Directions:

  1. Drape the Norfolk pine branches along your banister. Mine had bendable stems, so it was easy to bend and secure them around our banister.
  2. Using the ribbon, secure the bells to the banister.

Tips:

  • Use wired ribbon for easier bending and secure bows.
  • Alternate bell sizes or mix colored finishes for more variety.

3. Holiday Centerpiece with Bells

Bring festive cheer to your table with a bell-adorned centerpiece.

Supplies:

  • Vase
  • Norfolk pine branches
  • Ribbon
  • Bells

Directions:

  1. Arrange Norfolk pine branches in a vase.
  2. Position your bells beside the vase, or for smaller bells, tie them in clusters to ribbon and secure them around the vase’s neck.
  3. Add a decorative bow or ribbon accent to complete the look (if you didn’t already do this in step 2).

Tips:

  • Layer branches at different heights for dimension.
  • Mix in small ornaments or berries for extra holiday charm.
