  • {FOUND OBJECT} *HUGE* Vintage LetterPress Tray/Drawer
  • These trays were once used to house and sort letter blocks. The blocks were then used with an applied pressure to an inked surface resting upon a print medium (such as paper or cloth), thereby transferring the ink.
  • The trays show wear, age, timeworn marks, dirt, dust, small chunks knocked out (from backboards or dividers), cracks in the backboards and in some cases glued paper backing still in cubbies (see photo#5 - they used to add paper over the wood to preserve it and keep it ink free)! All due to usage and old age...
  • Dimensions vary but the average around: 36" Wide x 2.25" Deep x 16" High
  • Style varies slightly: Some have only square opening and some have rectangular and square openings. Also some have drawer handles on the front and some don't. Sorry it's impossible to sort them accordingly, therefore, you can't pick a style.
